Most recently I created costumes for High School Musical - Tour and won an Emmy for “Benise: nights of Fire” a PBS Flamenco Special. The last five years I have been designing for director Christopher Guest commercially. I started out styling hundreds of commercials, which taught me precise characterization, collaboration, speed and versatility.
I designed the last season of Grounded for Life and my first sitcom was Blossom. Chippendale’s was another notable credit for innovation of breakaway designs.

I wanted to thank you for being such a team player and making
us all look good. It is difficult to take a chance on someone
you do not know, but this time it paid off amazingly well. Thank
you for being so easy to take direction, adapt to changes and
fulfill the vision.
I very much appreciate it. You definitely met and even exceeded
my expectations.

Subject: Resume for Erin "Topaz" Lareau
To: xx
Dear - :
I'm a friend and, by the way, a huge fan of Erin Lareau. I worked
with her on the last season of "Grounded for Life,"
and I have to tell you she absolutely transformed our show.
She's just a spectacular talent and couldn't be a nicer, more
positive person. She has a way of making all of her actors look
and feel like a million bucks. I could go on and on, but I'll
just attach her resume and let you judge for yourself.
Best --
Megyn Price
Dear -
I am writing on behalf of Erin Lareau,
who has worked for me twice now, as Costume Designer and Head
of the Costume Department on a pilot shot this year for Fox
Broadcasting, “ The Best Years,” and as Costume
Designer and Head of the Costume Department on my series “Common
Law” for ABC Television (also this year). On both productions
I was Executive Producer, Creator and Writer.
Ms. Lareau did an outstanding job in
both cases, illustrating character definition through a broad
and innovative range of costume design and choices for our
entire casts as well as guest casts. Between the two projects,
ewe covered characters as diverse as Manhattan attorneys,
Los Angeles Bartenders, young Hollywood nightclub denizens,
New Jersey street thugs, and even strolling them park characters.
She was tremendously helpful and collaborative in aiding the
development of all these characters through costuming. Her
attention to detail was remarkable—down to designing
food-themed earrings for a coffee cart lady – and her
intuitive understanding of what characters need to wear in
various situations made my shows more successful visually.
I vested complete responsibility for these decisions and she
always gave us what we were looking for and far more.
Additionally she managed the Costume
Department adeptly and always adhered to our sometimes draconian
budgets. I look forward to working with Ms Lareau again; she
is extremely talented and was an indispensable part of our
productions.
